FSRT Class Overview

The Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT) certification covers scoping, mitigation, cleaning, deodorization, subrogation, spoliation, documentation of residential and commercial fire and smoke damaged structures and contents.

Upon completing this certification, you demonstrate that you are prepared to perform and document cleaning and deodorization of typical residential or commercial fire and smoke damage projects..

Ideal for: Professionals in the disaster recovery field, such as technicians, project managers, and business owners. Property managers, general contractors, and anyone looking to learn about fire and smoke remediation should attend.

Class Location & Schedule - Hybrid (Attend In-Person or Via Zoom)

The following schedule applies to all days of training.

  • 8:00 AM - class begins
  • 5:00 PM - class ends

Whether attending in-person or via live stream, we encourage students to arrive a few minutes early on day 1 and be on time for all days of training.

Students Attending Via Zoom / Live Stream / Online:

Each student is required to have their own computer with a web cam and audio connection. Students are expected to be on camera and fully engaged in class each day.

Zoom/Class Login information will be sent via email approximately 48 hours before class begins.

Rudy Alford

Rudy has taught thousands of students while traveling coast to coast in the USA and internationally in Australia. He is an IICRC certified double master and also served on IICRC Technical Advisory Committees (TAC) for the contents packing and moving certification course. Rudy currently teaches WRT, FSRT, OCT and CPT classes.

IICRC Certification

To earn certification, students must pass the certification exam, which is available for an additional fee paid directly to the IICRC. Students must visit www.iicrc.org to register online and submit the exam fee prior to or on the first day of class. Please contact the IICRC with any questions regarding this process
