CCT Class Overview

The Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) certification covers the art and science of carpet cleaning to professional service providers and others in related industries. Emphasis is placed on practical application, identifying fiber, yarn, and carpet constructions, style types, and finishes, soiling conditions, cleaning science and methodology, and other issues and concerns faced by individuals who maintain and clean installed broadloom carpet.

Upon achieving the certification, you have demonstrated you know how to perform carpet cleaning techniques and procedures, including pre-inspection, fabric identification, basic cleaning chemicals and equipment, and proper cleaning techniques and procedures with a residential and light commercial emphasis.

Ideal for: Technicians, business owners and managers, contractors, and property managers.

IICRC Carpet Cleaning Technician CCT

Class Location & Schedule - Live Stream Via Zoom

The following schedule applies to all days of training.

  • 10:00 AM - check-in
  • Class begins 30 min after check-in
  • 5:00 PM - class ends

This is a Live Stream / Online training. Each student is required to have their own computer with a web cam and audio connection. Students are expected to be on camera and fully engaged in class each day.

Zoom/Class Login information will be sent via email approximately 48 hours before class begins.

Meet Your Instructor

Mark Violand

Mark Violand began his career in the carpet cleaning industry in 1977, working alongside his brother in a business that offered a full range of services—from carpet cleaning and color repair to installation, water damage restoration, and maintenance. Early on, Mark discovered his passion for training, taking responsibility for teaching new technicians the skills and standards that define quality workmanship.

Today, Mark is an IICRC Instructor holding 12 certifications and serves as Chairman of the IICRC S800 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Inspection of Textile Floorcoverings and leads the Carpet Repair and Reinstallation Technician Committee.

IICRC Certification

To earn certification, students must pass the certification exam, which is available for an additional fee paid directly to the IICRC. Students must visit www.iicrc.org to register online and submit the exam fee prior to or on the first day of class. Please contact the IICRC with any questions regarding this process
