WRT Class Overview

The Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification demonstrates knowledge to perform remediation work and an understanding of water damage, its effects, and techniques for drying structures.

Upon achieving this certification, you demonstrate you have the background to understand the procedures necessary to deal with water losses, sewer backflows, and contamination such as mold.

Ideal for: Technicians, business owners and managers, insurance adjusters, contractors, and property managers.

Use this certification to:

  • Complete a water loss in a residential home
  • Explain to an adjuster the proper procedures and difference for Category II or III water loss.
  • Identify and change drying plans based on the Science of Drying

Class Schedule:

The following schedule applies to all days of training.

  • 8:00 AM - class begins
  • 12:00pm - break for lunch
  • 5:00 PM - class ends

*Additional breaks will be taken in the morning and afternoon at the instructor's discretion.

Meet Your Instructor

Dustin Resendiz

Dustin worked on residential losses of all types and commercial losses including some large clients like FedEx and Amazon. His experiences in the industry include everything from water, mold, reconstruction, and remodeling. Dustin formed his own full-service restoration company in 2017 which has been quite successful.

One thing that sets Dustin apart is his background prior to the restoration industry. Dustin is unique in that he is bi-lingual, fluent in English and Spanish. He taught English in Mexico for high schoolers at a private school for two years and worked for the Mexican government doing community outreach and humanitarian work.

Dustin is not only excited to be an IICRC approved instructor but also honored to be able to teach the WRT course to a huge underserved market in the industry.

IICRC Certification

To earn certification, students must pass the certification exam, which is available for an additional fee paid directly to the IICRC. Students must visit www.iicrc.org to register online and submit the exam fee prior to or on the first day of class. Please contact the IICRC with any questions regarding this process
